Priority 1 - The facility is in sufficient peril to warrant remediation prior to the next storm season. Submit project for current year authorization.

Priority 2 - The facility is expected to survive another storm season but requires remediation. Submit the project for the following budget year.

Priority 3 - The facility is subject to erosion that may cause a longer-term risk, but is not expected to fail in the next two to three years. Continue annual monitoring.

Priority 4 - The site no longer poses a threat to the facility and is not expected to in the future. Drop the site from the "active" erosion database and discontinue annual review

By using this system, a client can stay proactive with erosion problems and water crossing maintenance, eliminating costly replacements and relocations. These pre-determined and budgeted annual programs are the least expensive and most successfully completed, because they deal with erosion problems in their early stages before they pose a costly major threat.
